Contact Coordinators at Bike@cascadeprimetimers.org

For the past 50 years, Bike Bunch has managed and offered weekly biking opportunities to CPT members, which was started in 1973 by a number of members who wanted to stay in shape for the skiing season. Biking became so popular, we are now a separate organization from Cascade Prime Timers, but much of our membership overlaps. Initially they used Multnomah Athletic Club maps, but quickly decided riding in the city was not their favorite. Taking the maps and developing more of their own, a half century later the tradition continues. The Bike Bunch has scheduled rides every Wednesday and Saturday, April through October. The season's schedule is distributed online via our website, which also contains route sheets for all scheduled rides. The cost for annual membership is $25.

Distances and ride difficulties (*hills*) vary, but the rides are typically 35-50 miles long on pavement, some with only a few rolling hills, others with fairly steep hills. Also each week there's at least one "easy" route of 20 - 25 miles with very modest hills. These easier rides attract both the old timers who are slowing down, as well as newer riders and electric-assist bikes. Turnout for a ride can vary from 5 to 25 or more. The best way to explore the Bike Bunch is to join us for a ride or two then decide if you want to join. Please check us out for more information.... https://www.meetup.com/Bike-Bunch/
